Artist's comment: Danygil is passionate about nature, wildlife.

She wanted to paint with perfection and details a hawk, a hunter of prey, appreciated and highly sought after in the Middle East.

Artist's comment: The Hadj refers to persons who have made the pilgrimage to the so-called "saints" places of the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

It is adjoined to the name of the person, as a honorary sign, when we speak to him.

Artist's comment: During these years spent in Morocco, she was able to observe and respect the first Moroccan generation who brought her clarification on their lifestyles, on the Islam.

Danygil wanted to represent three wises, perhaps, discussing the future of the next generations.

Artist's comment: This painting is particular because of its model and the extent of impressionism. The model, Danygil met her in Morocco. This old woman embodies the wisdom and the spirituality that she has. She has a strong faith in Islam. This painting shows the faith in Islam by its great spiritualism.

Artist's comment: During this years lived in Morocco, Danygil observed Moroccans, especially elderly persons who are respected and pampered by their families. These elderly persons spend their times to enjoy of outside, the environment. They keep bringing up their experiences, their childhood. They tell ancestral stories of their grandparents. This canvas depicts an elder having a rest in front of his home. Danygil wanted to use blazing colors not dejected.

Artist's comment: This canvas is one of the most beautiful artwork of DANYGIL. The faraway and sharp-eyed look of these two girls, these two sisters marked the technic and the precision of this painting.

She has been carried for more than a week to reach this perfection.

Artist's comment: The Mevlevi order is a Sufi Muslim order founded in Konya in the thirteenth century by Jalal al-Din Rumi, whose members are often called "whirling dervishes" in reference to their dance called sama '(or sema), whose movements reminds a spinning-top.

Danygil wanted to create an oil canvas made with knife technique representing "Whirling Dervishes", wearing this calf-length dress, the posture of the dancer, arms wide opened to the sky can take the visitors in a whirl of images passing before them.

Artist's comment: The painter Danygil wanted to made an ancient canvas which shows the rest time of a princess in the architecture and the serenity of an Oriental environment.

Artist's comment: In the Maghreb, the hammam is a social and cultural custom where all social classes of the society frequent this public place:

  where men and women are separated.

The painter DANYGIL wanted to create a painting of a woman with her back turned in a steam room showed with soft colors which make the visitor go into this place through this artwork.

Artist's comment: We think that the origin of this dance goes back to the ancient fertility rites, linked with religion and with esotericism.

Danygil wanted to create a canvas showing the costum and the body of an Oriental dancer who sometimes raises the veil of taboo and the sacred.

She dared do it.

Artist's comment: As a woman, Danygil was impressed by Moroccan women of all ages because of their behaviors in society, their clothing which shows their regional culture. Danygil wanted to paint them.

Artist's comment: Sakina is a word of Arabic or Islamic origin which is also derives the name Soukayna or Sakine which mean peaceful and serene.

Also Sakina means "Friend".

DANYGIL painted the portrait of Sakina (her husband's cousin) with a certain serenity by her great beauty, the transparency of her look and the color of her eyes where each visitor who discovers it can drown into it : the green.

Artist's comment: In contemporary style with a rainbow of color, Danygil wanted to depict a young Moroccan girl who goes back home.
